The Southern Zone has that raw energy of a place that still feels undiscovered. It’s the Costa Rica of Corcovado, the last big stretch of Pacific rainforest, of whale tails drawn in sand at Uvita, of scarlet macaws over the Golfo Dulce and of mountain towns like San Isidro de El General and the coffee highlands of Pérez Zeledón.
